A new Apple Watch update has begun to be released by Apple.

Apple's WatchOS 9.6.1 update offers minor bug fixes for the Apple Watch.

It is a free software update and it comes two weeks after the watchOS 9.6.

This update fixes motion data access for vital Parkinson's tremor and symptom tracking apps using the Movement Disorder API.

The bug in watchOS 9.6 prevented third-party apps from accessing this data.

Apple says the issue has been rectified with today’s release of watchOS 9.6.1.

Update your Apple Watch via the companion app or directly through the Watch's Settings.

The build number for WatchOS 9.6.1 is 20U80.

WatchOS 10, the upcoming successor to watchOS 9, is currently in beta testing.
